MANILA, Philippines — The number of reported deaths due to the recent tropical cyclones has reached 158, the latest National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) data showed.
But only 21 of these reported deaths were confirmed, the agency said, adding that 134 were injured and 21 are still missing.

Of this figure, about 626,639 displaced people, 1174,402, were sheltered in evacuation centers, while 452,237 took shelter elsewhere.

Article continues after this advertisementThese places are in Region 1 (Ilocos), Region 2 (Cagayan Valley), Region 3 (Central Luzon), Region 4-B (Mimaropa), Region 5 (Bicol), Region 6 (Western Visayas), Region 8 (Eastern Visayas), Region 9 (Zamboanga Peninsula), Region 12 (Soccsksargen), Caraga, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao and the National Capital Region.
Kristine exited the country’s boundary on October 25, while Leon left the Philippine Area of Responsibility on November 1.
