MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) will dispatch 18,802 personnel nationwide for the observance of this year’s All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day or Undas.
PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo said the cops will be deployed to major thoroughfares starting October 31.

The PNP will also dispatch its revitalized pulis sa barangay to patrol residential areas.

Article continues after this advertisement“Those leaving their homes, ask your relatives to keep the house, make sure it is locked to prevent robbery, and if the budget allows, install an alarm system or CCTV,” she said in Filipino.
Article continues after this advertisementFajardo reminded the public to be alert, keep police hotlines in case of emergency, and refrain from publicly posting their whereabouts.
In the National Capital Region, the Manila North and South Cemeteries will be open from October 30 to November 3 from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Article continues after this advertisementBased on an advisory issued by the Manila government, vehicles will not be allowed inside the cemeteries, while burials and cremations will be temporarily suspended during the said dates.
